Meet Our Staff and Board of Directors

Community Bridges is made up of a volunteer board of directors and a committed staff. Volunteers help support our staff and play an important role in the lives of the individuals we serve.

Barb Drotos

Statewide START Director

Barb earned a master’s degree in social work from Salem State College (1992) and a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire. She has more than 20 years experience working with complex individuals, children and families. As a social worker, educator and administrator, it is Barb’s life work to provide support to those who experience a mental health and/or developmental disability or who have experienced trauma. She is a parent by birth as well as through foster care. She lives in Contoocook, NH with her family.

hardingSherry Harding, SPHR

Vice President of Human Resources

Sherry holds an associate’s degree in accounting, a bachelor’s degree in management, and a master’s degree in organizational leadership. She is a senior professional in human resources, as well as a career and management coach, employee relations and communications specialist, and a management and leadership trainer. Sherry has been in the human resources field for 20 years and with Community Bridges since 2009. She has been happily married for 21 years and is the proud parent of two boys.

Richard JeffcoteRichard Jeffcote

Chief Financial Officer, CFO

Jeffcote started his career as an auditor at Blue Cross Blue Shield, later joining Wentworth-Douglass Hospital as a controller. After that, he joined Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), a corporation that at the time owned 350 hospitals, as director of reimbursement for the Northeast region. Jeffcote has since served as CFO of several hospitals and medical centers, assisting with all aspects of financial management as well as strategic planning. Jeffcote is a native of Providence, Rhode Island and a current resident of New Hampshire. He holds an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida.

Director of Early Childhood Services

Karen Lofgren holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Boston College. She has been working for 22 years as a child and family therapist, the last 14 as an infant mental health specialist in Early Supports and Services at Community Bridges. In September 2017 she stepped into the ESS Director role with the company.  Karen is a native of the North Shore of Boston, has lived in Seattle, Washington and Houston, Texas before settling back here in New England.  She is passionate about missions work and traveling.

Tracey Lonergan

Vice President of Administrative Operations

Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire and has worked within the organizational management field for over 20 years. She has been involved with Community Bridges for over thirteen years. Tracey lives in Concord, NH with her significant other and enjoys spending time in Georgia with her son, daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters.

Vice President of Community Services

Ann earned a Bachelor of Science and is a recipient of the Noyes Award for Leadership. She has worked in her field for 29 years and has been with Community Bridges for 25 years. A resident of Concord, NH, Ann is married with two college-aged children.

Executive Director

Richard Royse’s 30-year career in human services includes a tenure as executive director of East Middlesex ARC (EMARC) in Middlesex, Massachusetts. An East Coast native, he also helped found the Alliance for the Betterment of Citizens with Disabilities. Richard is married with four children, and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Kansas.

Board Member

A resident of the town of Bow, Elizabeth has worked for the past 5 years as a Nutrition Aide at Havenwood – Heritage Heights in Concord. She is also a volunteer at the Concord Community Music School. She enjoys bowling and is active in the Concord Regional ARC.

hosmerBrad Hosmer

Owner/President, Beta Consulting Group

Brad Hosmer is a management consultant with Beta Consulting, a company that he founded in 1987. He has been a Community Bridges board member since 1997. Brad has a BS degree in mechanical engineering from WPI and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

mcnamaraBetsy McNamara

Principal, Full Circle Consulting

Betsy McNamara is a Full Circle Principal and Senior Consultant with 23 years experience fundraising for nonprofit organizations. Betsy has raised millions of dollars for organizations in education, human services, affordable housing, the arts, and land conservation.

Betsy has served on the board of Community Bridges since 2002, including a two-year term as president. Betsy lives in Concord with her husband and two sons. Betsy’s family was introduced to Community Bridges when her younger son was eight-months-old and have benefitted from the good and important services provided by Community Bridges ever since.

Owner, Endicott Trading Corp.

David Ossoff is a partner in a biofuel company and is involved in several other local business ventures. He has been on the Community Bridges Finance Committee since 2008 and joined the board in 2010. David and his wife Leslie have three children and have lived in Concord since the mid-1980’s.

phillipsKristin Phillips

Co-owner, Smith Phillips Strategic Communications

Kristin Phillips is a principal at Smith Phillips Strategic Communications, a public relations firm in Concord. She is secretary of the Community Bridges board and serves as the Advocacy Committee chair. Kristin holds a BA in Communications from the University of New Hampshire. She is a graduate of UNH Institute on Disability’s Leadership program and serves on the board of Best Buddies New Hampshire. Kristin lives in Concord with her husband and three children.

stuartGlenn Stuart

Professor of Theatre, New England College

Glenn Stuart is a Professor of Theatre at New England College where he has taught for 27 years. He also serves as the resident scenic and lighting designer for the Theatre Department. In addition, Glenn is the founder and director of the Open Door Theatre. Glenn has been a Community Bridges board member since 2005. He lives in Concord with his wife Kelly Doremus and their daughter Dylan.

Program Coordinator

Jenn is mom to Logan and MJ (both are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder), and Tyco (Logan’s service dog).  She is a lifelong resident of NH, recently relocating from the North Country to Concord.  Jenn works as a Program Coordinator at NH Family Voices, working on various projects within the organization.  Jenn is also the Assistant Director for Adam’s Camp New England.

Jenn has a BS from Lyndon State College.  She completed the NH Leadership in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program (NH LEND) at UNH in 2012.  She also completed the Parent Information Center Volunteer Advocate Training in 2013.  Jenn is a Family Delegate for both National Center on Birth Defects & Developmental Disabilities(NCBDDD) and the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP).  Jenn represents NHFV on the NH Council on Developmental Disabilities and the NH Council on Autism Spectrum Disorders.

We advance the integration, growth, and interdependence of people with disabilities in their home communities in ways that promote their ability to have positive control over the lives they have chosen for themselves.
