(Concord, New Hampshire) – Community Bridges, an agency that advances the integration, growth and interdependence of people with disabilities within their home communities, announced today that they have received the 2012 Dunfey Award for excellence in nonprofit management from The Corporate Fund.
The Corporate Fund is comprised of many of New Hampshire’s most generous corporations, which pool a portion of their charitable dollars to focus entirely on improving the overall management and effectiveness of the state’s non-profit organizations.
The Dunfey Award is presented annually to nonprofit organizations that demonstrate outstanding management skill and talent in a number of key areas including: program delivery and impact; vision and strategy; governance and leadership; strategic relationships; funding and resource development; and internal operations and management. Community Bridges was evaluated across many areas including:

The Corporate Fund recognizes that management in the nonprofit sector is among the most demanding and most important work in our society. The Corporate Fund created this award to recognize outstanding management skill and talent, and named it for Walter J. Dunfey, noted businessman, philanthropist and co-founder of The Corporate Fund.
