Parking at the State House can be tricky.  While there is plenty of parking in Concord, during hearing days, parking is limited, and you may want to give yourself several extra minutes to find suitable parking.   

On-Street Meter Rates: On-street meter rates are $1.00 / hour.

Meters - Types of Payment Accepted:  Credit card payments are accepted at pay station kiosks, as are coins (nickels, dimes, and quarters).  There is a minimum 1-hour charge when paying by credit card. City Parking Cards are also accepted at Kiosks.  Coins are only accepted at mechanical meters.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING: Vehicles with license plates displaying the international accessibility symbol or a windshield placard issued to a person with a walking disability under RSA 261:88 are exempt from paying parking meters. However, time limits will be enforced at all public Accessible Parking Spaces (on-street and municipal parking garages and lots) per RSA 265:74 and City Code of Ordinances 18-1-16.

PARKING ENCUMBRANCE PERMITS:  Any person wishing to reserve a metered parking space or a time-limited parking space may do so by securing a parking encumbrance permit for $15.00 / parking space/day.    Link to purchase permits: https://www.concordnh.gov/844/Downtown-Parking

Parking Garage Rates:

  • Parking Garage Metered Parking:  $0.50 / Hour. 10-Hour Time Limit.

  • Types of Payments Accepted: Credit card payments and coins (nickels, dimes, and quarters) are accepted at all Parking Garage pay station kiosks. A minimum 2-hour charge applies when paying by credit card. City Parking Cards are also accepted at kiosks.

  • How to Pay for Metered Parking in Garages: When parking at meters in garages, you must remember your space number and pay at a pay station kiosk when leaving the garage on foot. Unlike on-street metered spaces, you DO NOT need to return to your vehicle to display your receipt.  You may also use PayByPhone to pay for metered parking in garages.
