View CQL accreditation

Community Bridges was recently accredited by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) with the quality assurance accreditation. We are the only agency in New Hampshire to hold this distinction. To achieve this accreditation Community Bridges focused on basic assurances®, shared values®, responsive services, community life and CQL’s personal outcome measures®.

CQL is a leader in working with human service organizations and systems to continually define, measure, and improve the quality of life of all people. It offers consultation, accreditation, training and certification services to organizations and systems that share its vision of dignity, opportunity and community for all people.

By earning accreditation, Community Bridges has demonstrated a strong policy base in CQL’s 10 Basic Assurances:

  • Rights Protection and Promotion
  • Dignity and Respect
  • Natural Support Networks
  • Protection from Abuse, Neglect, Mistreatment and Exploitation
  • Best Possible Health
  • Safe Environments
  • Staff Resources and Supports
  • Positive Services and Supports
  • Continuity and Personal Security
  • Basic Assurance System/Quality Improvement Plan

Community Bridges was required to demonstrate that these policies and procedures are in practice across all of our programs. As part of the accreditation process, the agency worked together with key stakeholders including self-advocates, families, board members, and staff and community members to set future goals for the agency.

Community Bridges is a non-profit agency serving the communities of central New Hampshire. Disability is a natural part of the human experience and may occur as a result of developmental impairments, injury, or aging. We advance the integration, growth, and interdependence of people with disabilities in their home communities in ways that promote their ability to have positive control over the lives they have chosen for themselves.
