Earlier this week, we posted on our social media new information about a recent (non-related) amendment to bill SB 340 that could potentially reduce New Hampshire's special education rights to the bare minimum allowed by federal law. Despite overwhelming opposition, the amendment will be moving forward to the full House.

This amendment, if passed on the floor, would limit special education rules to the state or federal minimum requirements, potentially eliminating important protections from our NH Standards for the Education for Children with Disabilities to include the process in which evaluations for special education services are determined.
